A fine super scarce large die-stamped silver and gilt example worn circa 1903-1922. Crowned gilt circlet CARNATIC INFANTRY with seperate silver 86 applied to centre set upon silver multi-point star. Stout pagri pin to the reverse. VGC Sowars & Sepoys 788
Became 10th Bn. 3rd Madras Regiment in 1922 but disbanded in 1926
