Essex and Suffolk Cyclist Battalion bronze cap badge

A fine scarce die-stamped bronze example worn 1908-1911 only. Crowned oak sprays bearing ESSEX & SUFFOLK CYCLIST BATTN scroll; Essex shield over Suffolk castle to voided centre. Two blades to the reverse. VGC.
Formed in 1908 with HQ at Colchester, redesigned 8th (Cyclist) Bn. Essex Regt. in 1911.
