77th (East Middlesex) Regiment of Foot Officer’s Shoulder Belt Plate.

A fine scarce example worn circa 1830-55. Rectangular copper gilt back plate with silver mounts comprising the Prince of Wales’s badge and motto, floriated ’77’ and laurels sprays with ‘Peninsula’ below. Two hooks and two studs to the reverse. Gilt very worn to backing plate. GC
