The scarcest of all the Black Watch glengarry badges worn circa 1881-1887 only. Die-stamped white metal Thistle star bearing crowned oval motto (LACESSIT) in thistle sprays; St. Andrew and Cross to centre. Flanking bi-part scroll THE DUNDEE with HIGHLANDERS below. Well replaced loops. VGC

Became a VB of the Black Watch 1/7/1881; redesignated 3rd (Dundee Highland) VB, 1/12/1887.
