Rifle Brigade Victorian Officers silver pouch belt plate
A fine scarce unmarked die-stamped silver example worn circa 1863-1876. Guelphic crowned laurel sprays bearing Crimea honours with WATERLOO to the top; within, a Maltese cross bearing battle honors with lions between the arms and balls to the tips. To the centre, within title circlet, a crowned strung bugle. The arms of the cross bear numerous honours of the Regiment, THE PRINCE CONSORT'S OWN scroll to the base. Makers stamp J & Co (Jennens). Four screw posts to reversewith fixed backing plate. VGC.
