Scottish Black Watch Royal Hldrs Victorian Pipers plaid brooch

A good scarce 1st pattern die cast lightly silvered metal example worn by Pipers and NCO's. A wreath of thistles surmounted by sphinx over 'Egypt', within a circlet inscribed "Nemo Me Impune Lacessit", to the centre St. Andrew on a cross. Stout pin to the reverse. VGC.
