Scottish 93rd Sutherland Highlanders Regiment of Foot Victorian Officer's shoulder belt plate

A fine scarce two part gilt example worn circa 1837-64. Burnished gilt back plate with applied silvered crowned circlet inscribed 'Sutherland Highlanders' with '93' to the centre; within an wreath of thistles, tri-part scroll below inscribed 'Cape Of Good Hope'. Two hook and two studs to the reverse. General service wear, 'Hope' worn away from scroll. GC. Parkyn p529
