Georgian Bandmaster's cocked hat gilt ornament circa 1816-37 believed for Foot Guards .
An extremely fine and rare die-stamped large gilt example. Stand of musical instruments and swords set on crossed flags, lyre and sheet music to the base which bears Union sprays of Rose, Thistles and Shamrock. Centrally the Garter with Hanovarian Arms to centre. Ornate ropework to top and bottom. Excellent. Overall height approx. 18.2 cm
